A new version of Genesis, one of the better add-ons for TV and movies, was released yesterday and it’s got some nice changes, including progress bars when searching and loading. Genesis should now load and run faster and now has better metadata integration so that shows that share the same name won’t get lumped together in your library.
You can view a full change log below.
Genesis 5.1 Change Log
Re-work of library integration
Fixed issues with metadata from strm files
Added progress dialog in sources search
Re-work of sources loading
Tweaked playback actions
Added Bulgarian metadata info
Updated available sources
If you haven’t tried genesis yet, what are you waiting for! Install instructions below:
Vavigate to SYSTEM > File Manager > Add Source > None
Type the following into the top prompt: http://fusion.tvaddons.ag and select Done. This needs to be entered exactly as written.
Click the box underneath and enter a name for this media Source. You can call it whatever you want, but I’d suggest sticking with Fusion
Go back to your Home Screen and then to SYSTEM > Add-Ons > Install from Zip File > “Fusion” (Or whatever you named it)
Select xbmc-repos > english > repository.lambda-1.1.0.zip and wait for the Add-on enabled notification
Select Get Add-Ons or Install from Repository (on Isengard) > lambda Add-on repository > Video Add-ons >Genesis > Install
Wait for Add-on enabled notification
