If you’re a fan of UK live TV and sports (specifically Rugby and Football) then you might want to take a look at a new Add-on, Jekyll-Hyde. The Add-on also mixes in some on demand TV, movies and stand up comedy to the fix, although the we had some issues running them this morning. Hopefully the issues with these will be resolved shortly.
The Live TV on the other hand, runs beautifully and has a nice selection of dedicated niches like News, sports and music along with the regular network and cable TV channels. We experienced no buffering on any of the channels and we did so on rather sub par internet (roughly 3.5mb down). Most of the streams are in SD but they do have NBC Sports in both 720 and 1080p. There’s still no reliable, free HD Streaming add-on for sports yet, so if you absolutely need your sports in HD you’re likely going to need to pursue a paid streaming service.
Installing the add-on is fairly simple:
You’ll need the Kodi Next Gen Tool Repository installed. If you don’t already you can install it by navigating to System>File Manager>Add source
Open the field marked None and paste the following address: http://kngt.x10host.com/repo/
You’ll need to name the source using the bottom field marked “Enter a name for this Media Source”. You can name is whatever you like. I named mine KNGT. Click OK and Source will be added. Return to main menu and go back to system, this time we’ll navigate to settings>Add-ons>Install from zip and pick the source we just created. Select Repository.kodinextgentools-x.x.x.zip and the repo will be installed toi your system.
We’re now going to select Get Add-ons and navigate to the repository titled Kodi Next Gen Tool Repository>Video Add-ons>Jekyll-Hide and select install from the prompted menu
The add-on is now installed and ready for your enjoyment. You can find it at any time under the Video Add-ons section.
Happy Watching 🙂
